When you’re a physical media collector like me, you may have more than one copy of something you really love. Pearl Jam’s iconic debut “Ten,” released in 1991 on Sony’s Epic Records, is one of my Top 5 all-time records. It hit at a very impressionable time of my life and every chord is imprinted in my brain forever, as is the classic cover art. While I love and appreciate the Redux remaster/remix, the original album and mix is like a callback to my raw, mixed-up youth. Target’s purple splatter vinyl record is a gorgeous addition to my music collection, and well worth seeking out over the standard black pressing found at most shops.
In this video, I talk about my history with this legendary record and we take a closer look at the subtle color variation found in this gorgeous limited edition pressing.
